What do you think you could eat during the day for lunch?

  • Three pieces of homemade pizza, with mozzarella or Edam cheese and finely, cut Kale, Pineapple, Olives, Capsicum, Baby Spinach on. (Pizza base can be made with cauliflower)
  • A wholemeal or dark rye sandwich made with a cut-up boiled Egg, Lettuce and Tomato, or filled with lean chicken and vegetables, such as Baby Spinach or Cucumber
  • Two fruits and a small tub of natural yoghurt  

    Always try to eat a protein during the day to give you energy and increased brainpower
    New ways to enjoy a toasted sandwich: Use a dark rye bread and only a slather of light mayonnaise. Fillings:
  • Baby spinach, with mashed kumara and spring onion, a dash of salt and pepper and thin slices of Edam or Mozzarella cheese
  • Chicken with grated carrot, tomato slices, mushroom, olives and a few thin slices of Edam or Mozzarella cheese
  • Pineapple pieces with cut-up chicken, red onion, baby spinach, mashed kumara and mashed egg.  Mixed cheeses in moderate amounts  

    How to enjoy a takeaway and how often:
  • Enjoy a grilled chicken salad twice a month
  • A pie can be enjoyed once or twice a month, but, no other breads must be eaten during the rest of the day
  • Eat fish sushi – no more than 6 pieces. Once a month

    Fats = Piece of cake, hot greasy chips, ice-cream, butter, chocolate.
    Proteins = Lean chicken, turkey, fish, eggs.
    Carbohydrates = Banana, pineapple, potatoes, carrots, pasta.
