Follow a healthy eating guideline to prevent the following diseases as shown below:

Kidney Disease – Kidneys filter your blood removing extra water and waste products, which becomes urine. Kidneys when damaged, due to being overweight, cause the filter system not to work as well, which causes toxins and waste to build up in the body.

Cancer – Gaining weight as an adult will increase the risk of getting Cancer. Avoiding weight gain, may decrease this risk of Cancer.

Type 2 Diabetes – Caused by high blood sugar levels (eating too much food with sugar and fat content). This usually leads to Heart Disease, amputation of limbs, blindness, stroke and paralysis of the face, kidney disease and living on Dialysis for several years.

High Blood Pressure – Having a large amount of body weight/fat content increases blood pressure, as your heart needs to pump harder to supply blood to all the body cells. Excess fat damages kidneys, which regulates blood pressure.

Fatty Liver Disease – Fat build up in the liver, causes liver failure.

Sleep Apnoea – Where a person pauses in breathing during sleep. An overweight person stores more fat around their neck thus narrowing their airways and making their breathing difficult when lying down.

Arthritis – Affecting joints in knees, hands, hips and lower back. Extra weight places extra pressure on joints, which in turn causes painful and sharp aches in joints, as well as deterioration of cartilage, which protects the joints.
