There are fundamental basics and principles that are often not taught in the home and they need to be addressed, enabling a healthier work place and more successful people at work. With the live presentations and training with Lynne Scott of Image Creations, the package includes all areas of etiquette for the person and work life, all of which these elements affect and influence international cultures and local business, all perceptions and social exchanges, all small, medium and large businesses and their staff members.
Every person and organisation needs to develop trust and furthermore develop a greater satisfied customer base.
Here are a few tips on office etiquette:
Keep personal calls and personal information to a minimum.
Don’t leave lunch and take out boxes on the desk.
Consider offensive smells that linger, when you choose lunch to eat in a closed environment.
Don’t try to grab a person’s attention by peering over the partition or throwing things at them.
Don’t keep tapping the pen on the table.
Chew with your mouth closed and don’t chew gum and talk to colleagues at the same time.
Try to eat in a designated eat area, eating at your desk while work can be offensive to others when they need to be asking questions.
Sip your drinks quietly.
Pay attention to the way you hold your glass and don’t make loud noises when you drink.
Try not to drop your crumbs everywhere when eating, it is unsightly for others and makes a mess and makes the work area look untidy and unclean.
The single biggest mistake management make is to let this training slip by the way side.
Motivate staff, show them how, give them the tools, a good sense of etiquette goes a long way.
