I have had three spinal operations after a disc prolapse at vertebrae L4/5 and L5/S1. The prolapses and consequent surgery left me with paraesthesia in the big and second toe on both my left and right foot, a slight footdrop on my left hand side, an absence of reflexes in my left lower leg and an inability to raise my legs sideways or stand on my toes. Although these things did not greatly affect my everyday working life I was noticing that my balance was deteriorating and I had challenges with my ankles turning frequently and on occasions would fall.
Since joining The Body Tonic Group, I have seen a significant improvement in my balance, strength, posture and my ability to lift my legs in routine exercise. I can’t remember
the last time my ankles turned over and I have found the results quite remarkable. I have gone from being in a position where I had assumed the damage was permanent to appreciating that with targeted exercise your body can adapt to overcome certain anomalies.
Lynns understanding of anatomy, form and function down to precise muscle groups and the exactness of a specific move allows each individual person in her class to obtain the absolute best outcomes. She has an inherent passion to ensure that each customer is catered for and will modify an exercise to accommodate the needs of that individual.
I have never experienced a group class where the instructor has applied so much experience and care and would highly recommend Lynn to anyone interested in improving their health.”
